II. Organizational Context and Scope |
Under the general supervision of IOM Officer in charge in Uzbekistan and the direct supervision of the IOM Fin./Admin. Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of IOM activities in Uzbekistan, in particular: |
III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities |
- Drives vehicle safely for the transport of authorised personnel
- Collects and delivers of mail, documents, and other items.
- Meets official personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required;
- Takes care of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tries, etc.; performs minor repairs and arrange for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean.
- Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.
- Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in an accident.
- Ensures that the IOM vehicles are used only for official/authorized business, as advised by the supervisor
- Keep report of vehicle spare parts;
- Makes purchases of stationary goods necessary for office or trainings
- Assist in renting other vehicles, if requested
- Files incoming and outgoing correspondence in the office
- Receive, assess and refer telephone and personal inquires to the appropriate staff for reply. While being not assigned to any duty out of the office, an incumbent has to be at the office and refer the calls
- Performs other duties as assigned.

V. Education and Experience |
- Minimum 7 years driving experience.
- Holder of a valid driver’s license category 'B' (minimum requirement) with clean driving record.
- Knowledge of minor vehicle trouble shooting.
- Knowledge of national traffic and vehicular regulations a must.
- Knowledge of city and national routes an advantage.
- Previous work experience in international organizations and companies would be an advantage.
